The Arizona Imaging and Microanalysis Society hosts an annual conference every spring. This annual meeting provides a forum for members to discuss research and exchange ideas, as well as an opportunity for learning about new techniques and concepts.
Once you sign up as an AIMS member you can register for the conference in the member’s area. Undergraduate and Graduate Students and PostDocs are invited to submit an abstract and compete in the poster competition for cash prizes. Submission deadline is Friday March 23rd. If you are traveling to Flagstaff and need overnight accommodations, we have a block of rooms reserved at the Drury Inn and Suites from March 29-31. Members can use this link to book the room or by calling 1-800-325-0720 and referring to the group number 2331805. The rooms will be released February 25 but there is no penalty if we don’t fill all of them. The rooms are running at the discounted rate of $189.99/night.
Parking:
For those of you attending the meeting form out of town, parking is available in Lot P66, near the Skydome. Please see the parking map. The conference will be in the Dubois Center (building number 64) a short walk from he parking lot. Signs will be in place to guide you. Day permits cost $7/day and may be purchased in one of 3 ways:
1. At the kiosk in Lot P66
2. Through www.parkmobile.com using zone 4690.
3. Online permits may be purchased and printed form home or office by logging into “Manage my Parking“, creating a guest account and selecting “purchase permit.” Print the temporary permit and display it so it is visible from the outside on the passenger side dashboard. [Small Kiosk Visitor Map]
